This is the homestay where we stayed at in Shillong from Wednesday evening to Monday morning (the day our vacation ended and we departed to Guwahati and then to home). My brother found this place over the Internet and we booked a reservation at this place going by the Google reviews. We booked three rooms as we were eight, including kids. The homestay has four rooms and the host gave us the fourth room as complimentary. So the entire building was reserved for us 🙂
The building is a very pretty one, very well maintained and situated in a very scenic location that is away from the hustle bustle of the city. The interiors are very tastefully done and have got all the facilities that one can ask for on a vacation. The host is very hospitable and the helping staff are very warm. They have been very kind to prepare an itinerary for us to suit our tastes and make necessary arrangements for the same. I would greatly recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to the places in and around Shillong.
A walk of about 5 minutes from the homestay leads to the forest. The help at homestay was kind enough to recommend and accompany us on a walk on one fine morning after our breakfast. We could hear the sounds of nature clearly even at 9:30 in the morning. The gang collected acorns too on the walk and carried them home.
